a little about me
Many people ask how I got started as an artist. The truth is, painting has always been part
of my life, and I have wanted to be an artist for as long as I can remember.  I grew up  in
Columbus, Ohio, and after high school was given a scholarship to attend the  Columbus
College of Art and Design where I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine
Arts in 2003.

Shortly after graduating, my husband and I got married and moved to our current home in
Alexandria, Virginia.  After moving to the area, I worked part time teaching art and in arts
education trying to paint when I could.  In my spare time, I began doing some murals and
custom art for friends and family. Eventually, I began to get more and more requests and
finally decided to follow my dream and take the leap to begin my own business as a
working artist...which of course brings me to the present!

I'm also a proud new mom of a beautiful baby boy, Benjamin, born in August, 2008!
